22h50 call to East Surrey hospital

Pretty bloody frustrating. When I left madi at about 8:15pm, Madi had been complaining of a severe headache for half an hour. She asked me to bring some pills that begin with a "C" tomorrow because the paracetamol she got at 1pm wasn't helpful. I had been asking the nurse to give her something else/stronger but the nurse didn't do anything, said she buzzed the doctor. I just called now and the nurse said the doctor hasn't seen her, she gave madi paracetamol again... Anyhow it seems madi has been sleeping, which is the most important thing, but jeez this government is screwing up the NHS with lack of funds.

There is no visiting at all before 3pm at that hospital, and I'll ask tomorrow to see if she wants/can have visitors... Xx

Mark,

Absolutely horrified bi the news! Glad to hear Madi is improving. If there is anything I can do that would be of help, please let me know - make some food? Take care of the dog for a while? Bring smth to the hospital? ANYTHING! Just ask.

And pills that begin with a C, would that be Citramon, by any chance? They are godsend when I have migraines (no other "local" drugs work and Paracetamol is absolutely a waste of time that sometimes even makes the pain worse!) I have some at home, recently brought over from Russia - will gladly share if Madi needs them.

Do let me know if I can help in any way! (Redhill also happens to be very local to me)
And please buzz when Madi is well enough for visitors?

Lots of love to Madi.

Hi Mark,

What a genius idea keeping us up to date with a blog, thanks!

So shocked to hear about Madi, you guys have been in our thoughts. If its any comfort at all my mum suffered from severe headaches after stroke and she was put on a ward where we were only allowed to visit for 2 hours a day, 1 visitor at a time - due to all the patients recovering from brain injuries and we were not allowed to speak too loud or take the children! Mum is fine now.

Thanks for keeping us updated, I wish you all a speedy recovery, Madi sounds pretty determined those nurses probably don't know what hits them :). Lots of love to you all
